American Poker Online Videos

Over the past several years, the popularity of poker hands has swelled in the US. The cause of such growth is attributed to the expansion of Internet poker and television networks such as ESPN broadcasting the annual World Series of Poker. Millions of Americans have started to play online poker. The increased use of U.S. payment options like online casino amex has strengthened America’s position as the world leader in the industry.

The legal status of online casino usa games was unclear. But on September 29, 2006, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA) was passed. This law made it illegal for online poker destinations to transact with US banks. At the time, Party Poker was by far the top online poker site. Anyone who knew the correct poker hand order knew the name PartyPoker. However, on October 2, 2006, PartyPoker announced that it would suspend its operations in America.

This caused major concerns for poker players and poker operators throughout the industry. Does this mean that poker would no longer be available online? Would avid internet players no longer be able to take advantage of Hand Converter tools and online sites? Various other established poker brands also announced that they would close their doors to the US. PacificPoker, and all the Playtech brands would no longer be available to US online poker players.

However, not all online poker rooms closed their doors to the US. Two up and coming sites were PokerStars and the Full Tilt Poker Referral Code. Soon after the UIGEA was passed, PokerStars released a statement to their player base. In it, PokerStars.com said that they didn't believe that the law affected them, and that they are committed to their customers.

There has been a long argument in the poker community about whether poker is game of skill or a gambling game. PartyPoker apparently decided it was a game of chance and so packed their bags and left the country. PokerStars.com took the stance that it is a skill game, and that the American poker online law does not apply to them.

With the exit of the top poker site in PartyPoker, the field was now wide open. Poker was still growing in popularity, and players decided to simply move to PokerStars and other sites. The result is that PokerStars is now the most popular poker room in the world. At any given time, about a quarter million (250,000) people can be found playing poker on their site. This is far more than even Party Poker had when they were at their peak. FullTiltPoker is also doing very well, and average about 100,000 people online at a time. Other pro-US sites like the UB Referral Code also flourished. It appears that even with the passage of the UIGEA, the online poker industry continues to grow. Commercials for both Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars.net can still be seen on TV. The many online poker videos of US poker TV shows available online have also done a lot to boost the fortunes of online poker worldwide.

Anyone who wants to try to makes a poker deposit and win some money playing online poker should give Poker Stars, Full Tilt Poker, or one of the many other popular American poker rooms a shot, using a certified US payment option like online casino amex.
